Runners from around the world flocked to California’s iconic coastline on April 26, 2026 for the 39th edition of the Big Sur International Marathon, which runs along Hwy 1 from Big Sur to Carmel. The sold-out event welcomed participants from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and 36 countries, who took on one of six distances: The 5K, 12K, 11-Miler, 21-Miler, Marathon Relay, or the signature Marathon.
