The San Francisco Half Marathon, 10K & 5K presented by Sutter Health returned to Golden Gate Park on Sunday, February 1, 2026, for a record-breaking race weekend. For the first time in recent event history, the race sold out, welcoming more than 9,500 runners (a 30% increase year over year) to compete in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.

The Monterey Bay Half Marathon celebrated its 20th running on Sunday, November 9, welcoming more than 11,000 runners over the course of race weekend to experience one of California’s most scenic coastal races, including a very special 22 runners dubbed the “Grizzled Vets” who have yet to miss a single year of the event.

The 39th Annual Big Sur International Marathon, scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026 and organized by the 501(c)3 Big Sur Marathon Foundation, has sold out all of its race weekend events, including the marathon, marathon relay, 21-Miler, 11-Miler, 12K, and 5K.

The 20th annual Monterey Bay Half Marathon has sold out all of its race distances more than three months ahead of race day. Race weekend is November 8-9, 2025 and features three coastal events; Saturday’s Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K and By-the-Bay 3K in addition to Sunday’s Monterey Bay Half Marathon. Runners are invited to complete Saturday’s 5K and Sunday’s half marathon to receive an additional finisher medal as part of the Ocean View Challenge.

The 47th Annual Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon and Half Marathon, set to take place on March 1, 2026, will once again welcome special interest and charity groups to its 2026 race weekend, reinforcing its reputation as a destination event for purpose-driven participants from across the country.
